The National Parks Agency (OAPN) is the successor to functions previously carried out by the National Institute for Nature Conservation (ICONA) and the National Institute for Agrarian Reform and Development (IRYDA). It is currently responsible for the planning and management of the National Parks Network; the management of forests, protected areas, and heritage assets under its ownership; the coordination and promotion of UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme (MaB Programme); as well as activities in education, training, information, awareness-raising, and communication. This platform provides access to all the documentation preserved in its Historical Archive, for consultation or download.
